Malas are Buddhist prayer beads used in meditation but are also great for using with affirmations or mindfulness practice - counting the beads and the breath brings calm and grounding during periods of anxiety.

The Mala we make is based on the Kaya design, but participants can customise it by choosing their own charms and healing gemstones, including lava for diffusing essential oils.

We do a short intention setting to get in touch with our creativity and intuition. Then I ask participants to choose the gemstones specific to their challenges and individual needs.

The workshop will run for 2-3 hours and all materials are included.

Mums are welcome to bring kids (4-8yrs) if they’d like to make a something too. Mums need to book and pay in advance for themselves, but can pay cash on the day for the kiddies ($25). The kids will make a brightly coloured necklace and bracelet.

All numbers must be confirmed one week before the event, especially if I’m travelling a fair distance.
