Becoming Vibrant - 1 Dec 2020: Day 5

What is
Physical Vibrancy?

What is Physical Vibrancy?

Did I mention this was a year long project? Only 360 more days to go! Let’s see… Area 3 - Physical Vibrancy. Its another piece of the puzzle in my quest to answer the question: how can we age vibrantly? This one seems like a no brainer though, right?

Physical Vibrancy is the area of Diet and Exercise.

This is the area dedicated to listening to and taking proper care of your body so you stay in optimal physical condition as you age. This can be achieved through self-care measures such as hydration, a balanced diet, physical activity and a restorative sleep - we all know this! 🙄

“A wise (wo)man ought to realise that health is her most valuable possession.” - Hippocrates (and a great pair of shoes!) 👠👠

My long term goal for this area is to become the type of person that is strong, firm and flexible… and who sails effortlessly through menopause with no symptoms WHATSOEVER! 🤯

I can increase my physical vibrancy in a zillion different ways, according to a zillion different experts. The trick here, is to reach my goal in a way that works for me, so that I won’t quit and go back to eating a bag of Jelly Babies every night! And, if you want to join me on this crazy ride, we’ll have to figure out what works for you, too.

So, tell me - what crazy diets or exercise routines have you tried in the past that have been a success? Any colossal fails? I’ve got a few ideas up my sleeve, but my knowledge on this subject only scratches the surface. I’m keen to hear recommendations that will yield long term, sustainable results! I’ll give them a shot and let you know how I go!

Go on now, pop your pearls of wisdom in comments.

Paradox: Accept yourself as you are, then you can change.

PARADOX. Self-acceptance is a life long struggle. Sure, I like myself on the days I hop on the scale and the ‘right’ numbers appear. Not so much on the days when I’m feeling fat, ugly, old and totally defeated… is there a way to change? Can we structure life to make those yuck days few and far between? I’m on a mission to find out.

RECOMMENDATION. As part of my learning, I am keen to try a vast range of books, seminars, retreats, wellness experiences or weird, wacky and wonderful natural therapies that will support my journey. If you have a recommendation of a product or service that I could try, please get in touch. I'd love to give it a shot and do a little video showcase to share with everyone. Please email me here:

A SMALL INTRODUCTION. I left Canada to marry a wonderful Aussie man and was just settling into motherhood when he suffered a stroke from a bad neck manipulation. It was a difficult time and I was left to take care of my baby, my husband and maintain the household on my own. I was exhausted and quickly realised that if I didn’t take care of myself, my health would fail and my family would fall apart. I refused to let that happen, so self-care became my focus.

IT TOOK TIME. But I got through it and was determined to turn my experience into a blessing. I left my career in architecture and started Kaya Jewellery, where I create meaningful keepsake pieces that bring comfort and hope, helping people get through their difficult times, just as I did.

To support people in their wellness journey, our designs combine meditation and positive affirmations with healing crystal gemstones and lava beads to diffuse essential oils.

Wear them  to help you get past your challenges so you can reclaim your vibrancy. You’ll feel the positive energy that is infused in your special piece and it will help you move forward. I know you’ll love yours.

Sending hugs, Marlowe 💖
